This work is not the same as mark making. It requires a study of the discipline of sumi e brushwork, which can take a lifetime to learn the nuances that may best express a particular mood or feeling.

Such a painting is this. Painted from heart and soul, it is a memory and a dream at the same time. No linear thinking. But it is executed upon a discipline of ancient history.

These paintings are each unique art works. Imperfections are to be expected and are the hallmark of original art and the artist's hand, true wabi sabi. Sizes of original mulberry paper painting may vary, each approximately 14” x 18” - mat size is 18” x 22”. Each comes with its own Certificate of Authentication, packaged in a clear sleeve.

If you select the Framed Option, the frame is a clean, modern, charcoal black finish, my personal choice, with a UV acrylic protective cover.
