"Women at the Well" by Marilyn Wells - prints of original oil painting
"Women at the Well" by Marilyn Wells,
was inspired by both my childhood memories, growing up in Nebraska, where we had the old water pump and clear, clean drinking water, which we could also heat on the old cast iron stove and pour into a big aluminum tub sitting on the kitchen floor for a Saturday night bath.
It's also a reference to the archetypal symbolism of women and water, of which many rich stories are told in both the Old and New Testament. Water, the Gift of Life, and the gift of the Asian Goddess Kuan Yin, for healing and blessing. Women are often associated with the waters of life.
This is a Limited Edition Fine Art Print, numbered and signed, made from archival, museum quality giclée ink on hot press, acid-free 100% cotton rag media with a fine-tooth surface.
